Analysis of Exception

Be you the exception.
Of old rules.
And stale standards.
Fading fast.
Yet repeatedly overused.

Be you the one who decides and chooses,
To step forward.
Unafraid to be accused,
Of being incapable to adjust and adapt...
To barriers of the past.
Intended to keep others feeling trapped.

Follow your own path.
Done to pave like none other has.
Knowing any mistakes you make,
Are yours alone to acknowledge.
Since this is your adventure to explore.
Facing challenging obstacles to remove.

Leaving naysayers.
Critics and judgement passers.
Left behind.
Doing what they do best.
Finding excuses found.
To rely upon.
As tools to use on a routine basis.

But it is you,
Who steps forward with faith.
And a belief in self that takes courage.
Knowing to experience,
Made to make shown...
Those obligated,
To have their negativity approved?
Will always find,
The doing of this accepted.
By somebody, somewhere to share it!
