Analysis of Stress And Tension

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Minds permitted and allowed,
To be stretched beyond...
Strict  placed boundaries.
Face by the people who find their minds,
Stressed to mention it is the tension.
They invite to nibbled and take bites,
On their nerves as it to delight.
Until a birth of a headache results,
From their willingness to participate...
In the giving up their good stuff.
Easily to get repeatedly had.
And to know it done to hear,
How stress and tension has become...
Another thing heard,
People welcome to complain about.
As if to invite this as a way of life.

'I am so stressed out these days.
And the tension?
Without medication is unbearable.'

'Congratulations.
At least you know what you like to invite.
Some folks have the audacity to refuse,
Accepting to share their aches and pains.
And called selfish about this too.
Then the accusers place more blame,
On what is happening around them.
And they...
Of the 'them' and 'those' variety.
Are said to be the cause and reason,
For a stress and tension.
While creating, they do, more of it...
Upon themselves.
To defend, guard and protect.
Whenever mentioned,
To bring attention to their ailments.'

'Hey...
People are seldom satisfied,
By what can be good for them.
Either to suggest or recommend.
No.
It ain't gonna happen.
Acceptance has been proven,
Not a thing those with thick skulls do.
Especially if proposed by someone,
They have been taught to object...
And oppose,
Anything they recommend to suggest.
Regardless if the doing should mean,
A better way of life to live it possible.
Without stress.
Or being aggravated by someone else's...
Unsolicited tension freely given.'

'And why does that seem,
Such a common reaction these days?'

'I don't know if that is as common,
As being unable to accept free advice.
By those who go to professionals,
Known to misdiagnose their situations.
Plus...
No home to live in,
Can stay as comfortable as another.
If the same decor is use to cure,
What is going on inside.

Both houses may look alike,
But the occupants are quite different!'

'What are you talking about?'

'Anything and everything,
That creates...
Stress and tension to prevent them both.
You know,
Snowflakes may be white.
But no two snowflakes are alike.
And everyone black,
Do not sleep in the same bed.'

'I don't understand any of this.'

'Join the club.
No one does.
Until they discover for themselves,
What it takes to be understood.'

'I don't follow.'

'Good.
Clarity to discover is a personal mission.
And also,
A stress and tension reliever.'
