Analysis of Day Dreaming
I see you sitting before me,
But you're many miles away.
Your eyes tell of wandering thoughts,
That are unmoved by all I say.
How can I ever reach you,
When your heart is somewhere afar.
If I could, I would just let you,
Chase your shooting star.
But for now, you are held captive,
Against your very dreams.
While I'm helping you achieve them,
Even though that isn't how it seems.

About this poem
This poem, though it sounds dramatic, is simply about my 12 year old ambitious son's daydreaming on his elaborate plans while he's supposed to be doing his math.
