Analysis of All Her Ways

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Why does it always take so long?
To get some understanding
Even when I want to do
The things that you’re commanding

When I come walking down the aisle
I’ll find you at the alter
My Father leads me all the way
He holds me; I won’t falter

A quiet calm comes over me
When I stand in your presence
When wisdom takes ahold of me
Because her ways are pleasant

You lead me in a straight way Lord
Your Holy Spirit guides me
And when a tempest comes along
You shield me and you hide me

I stand behind your mighty arm
And when the storm has passed
You’ll lift me up and take me home
Where true love always lasts

She waits for me!
