Analysis of LIES

LIES
By: Joey Delgado

I live in
a castle of lies
My father whisper scary lies
My mother dumped them all on fire
My tiny body submitted to humiliation
Ignoring the splitting pain
My mother hid from me
The mystery of my sacred body
My father explored its frailties
Now, I am torn apart
Between my father’s warmth
And my mother’s harm
My father says I am a liar
My mother hits me like a fly
My father tells me not to cry
My mother warns me not to lie.
I am a lost solitary prisoner
Dejected in the world of lies
Like a never-ending refrain
I went through the pain over again
Fearful to defy my mother’s order
Infirm to submit my father’s anger!
