Analysis of Critiquers
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Creatures of doubts.
Kicked about and around to find,
Something found that makes them whine.
Nothing satisfies that pleases their minds.
Critiquers.
Keepers of negative solutions.
Meant to continue divisions.
Not wanting them to end.
With a doing to mention,
Whatever is wrong that has been corrected.
Hoping the attention given is effective.
Never on the right side of the bed,
Do they seem capable to get up out of it.
Neither is being positive about anything,
On their nightly wish for tomorrow's list.
For them...
Misery is their happiness.
And living in denial is a destination.
Not an excuse to make nor an alibi to use.
They do what they do to critique.
With a doing to intend it.
And the ones who take criticisms,
As an incentive.
That motivates their efforts endeavored?
Are often the benefactors.
Unafraid to face the value of free advice!
'I found your assessment of my contribution,
Not only rude, offensive and overtly critical.
And every detail of my work you ripped apart.
I want to thank you for taking the time,
To make me aware...
Of my needing improvement in what I do!'
'Great.
Now...
My hope for you is to take more risks.
More chances.
With a doing to expose,
Just how disgusted you really feel.
About those attempting to pass,
Their mediocrity for talent.
But you...
Seek to squeeze blood from your fruit!'
'Uh...huh?
I don't understand.'
'Do you feel challenged by mediocrity?'
'No!
Not at all.'
'Neither do I.
Too common and redundant is that crap.'
'But...
You said their work was fantastic.
Brilliant.'
'I know.
However...
Your work is nasty.
Current. Filthy.
I love it.
Trust me.
The more disgusting your work becomes?
The more you will attract,
Critiquers critiquing what you do.
To celebrate the hating of it!'
