Analysis of Uninvited Stress
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Without hint or clue.
Without warning it comes.
As if a long lost friend,
Hoping to find you.
And there you are in full clear view.
Waving unknowing,
What you've done to yourself to do.
Just seconds away,
From giving up to abandon...
Years it took to gain your peace of mind.
Uninvited stress.
Is not immediately address,
To see it for what it is.
No.
It only takes one feeling protected and safe.
Living a right way to live one's life.
Without needing to take pills to eliminate,
Body pains and headaches.
Suspected to come,
From those that do not disappoint.
But how many of us remain to pay attention?
Or remember how long it took,
To achieve the receiving of peace of mind.
Leaving the addiction of B.S. behind?
We believe we become,
Immune to nonsense.
Ignorance and its stupidity.
Forgetting how clever,
Pretensions kept can be.
Especially the premeditated practiced ones.
Say and do nothing.
When stress like this,
Gallops towards you on its high horse.
Turn immediately around.
Know troublemakers for what they are.
Seeking for themselves attention to get.
And at the expense,
Of someone willing to exchange...
Their common sense and mental health,
For repeated doctor visits.
To claim being able to reminisce,
Having a peace of mind to believe permanent.
The only thing that remains permanent,
Is one's willingness to accept ongoing B.S.
'What about death and taxes?'
What about,
Identifying to recognize...
Stress keepers,
Wishing to dump their troubles...
On others to pretend them to be close friends.
