Analysis of Catharsis

They all bowed in front of everybody,
Their eyes twinkled with glee.
The king looked at them in malice,
Clutching tightly, his wine-filled chalice.
The queen held her heart with fear,
Because it was a forbidden story they had made everyone hear.
The artist knew he would be condemned,
Because his play told everything about the people who had been the nation's true gem.
Trodden under the emperor's reign,
Held and poverty, misery, and heavy chains.
They knew their time was short,
Because what they had presented was a prohibited retort.
Revealing the monarch's disgraceful ways,
That kept away every single sunshine and happy rays.
Suppressed by deprivation, and, denial and destitution,
Uncovering his secrets was the most satisfactory solution.
They had had enough of the ruler's tedium,
So they sold him out in the public stadium.
He had taken away their peace hope and home,
It took them time, it took more than a day to build their Rome.
They will destroy will life, smash his thrones,
Break his glass castle, with high held domes.
The sovereign needs to beware,
Because they would slay him, even if he was the kingdom's true heir.
They would not quiver, they would not bow,
Of rage, anger and ire the royalty will have a show.
They told them to stop bending to his ways, to stop listening to the narcist,
The king would suffer because it was time for their catharsis.
