Analysis of Dark Love

Rafiekah Duncan 2005 (Cape Town)

At first it blinded me
with its glorious beauty
it glowed like the sun
and made me feel like number one

But like a hurricane
in the blink of an eye it came
as if a angry sea
it rushed to swallow me

It covered me in its flame
showing me true pain
like a blackened dove
this was the darkness in love
