Analysis of Keep It Real

Andrew Richardson, Jr 1981 (Washington DC)

Straight up and out.
In authority and power.
With pride I shout,
Don't ever be a coward.
Keep it real.
With honor and truth,
Don't fake or play.
Let you be the proof,
and all know today.
Keep it real.
To all the human race,
Your thoughts I don't care.
Say whatever to my face,
'Cause your words I won't fear.
Keep it real.
Wait until the air is still.
Feel the chill, sense the thrill.
Say what you need.
Keep it real.
