Analysis of By Faith
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Faith gives promise of things hoped for,
The conviction of things not seen;
Avenues to open the door,
Of the future from what has been.
For by it the people of old,
Had received their commendation;
Get a good report to unfold,
For an upcoming citation.
Because by faith we understand,
The universe was created;
From the Word that God did command,
And of that, He had elated.
What is seen and was not made out,
Of the things that are visible;
That is shedding off any doubt,
The things that are unseeable.
