Analysis of Whatever Has Happened

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Few can say,
Whatever has happened to happen.
The happening of it,
Had not been noticed to develop or occur.
With all the signs,
To even awaken a bat.
Blinded by the Sun's light.
Awaiting for night.
To use...
Their clear unobstructed vision.

Whatever has happened.
To view day and night.
From a bud to witness bloom.
Is no excuse for conscious people to use,
To claim and say...
What has happened,
Under their upturned noses...
Would grow to create such havoc and chaos!
Or pretend,
To protect themselves from threats to fear...
Is a fashion statement to make.
That today everybody does.
Just to keep updated,
With the ever changing of the times!
Like their 'could care less' thoughtless minds.

Whatever has happened to have it happen,
Can not be defended or redefined.
By repeated outdated excuses to use!
Or claims to place blame,
On an abusive childhood.
That makes grown adults,
Seek revenge on innocent others.
For what their parents did or did not do.
And yet...
Many will find their actions justified.
Depending on their race.
Ethnicity and color of skin.
Where they were born and obtained status.

To judge the kind of punishment,
Given to them!

'That one?
Deserves counseling and mental therapy.
The others?
Beat them and locked them up.
Until they learn lessons,
They should have learned when children!'

That is not fair.

'Neither is a circus.
Although people,
Do their best to make comparisons.
When there is none!
You see...
One is under a tent.
And the other is an intention mean.
To get attention.
And that need will be provided!'
