Analysis of HEAVY EYES

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

My eyes are heavy but not tired as I dust off the cobb webs from today's  thoughts so damn many were rushing in and out of my head keeping me awake when I should I off been sleeping and those sons of bitches knew it

Did I ever tell you since I came back haunted that I have conversations with the dead you should hear some of the crazy shit that they have said and the secrets of the living they still hold inside of their whispers they say these are your thoughts but our stories that need to be told?

You are the poet writing the words that are hidden deep inside your dreams to recite you are the lone survivor of a forgotten tribe so we are tired for your tired eyes but its a start of a revolution and this is your turn to stand up and rise
