Analysis of Bringing Salvation
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
O coastlands, listen to me,
You, people, give attention;
The Lord has called to decree,
About bringing salvation.
The Lord called me from the womb,
What my mother gave did name;
My last place is not the tomb,
But in Heaven to proclaim.
My mouth is like a sharp sword,
In the shadow of His hands;
Polished arrows in the Word,
For piercing what He commands.
Because I am His servant,
In whom I am glorified;
For His Word has been fervent,
And making me fortified.
But I have labored in vain,
Throughout the ends of the earth;
Till the King of Kings to reign,
In receiving a new birth.
Kings shall see and will arise,
Princes shall also worship Him;
The faithful open their eyes,
Strength from evil grows dim.
