Analysis of Elevating the Heart's Truth
In present-day existence, where all appears so resplendent,
A simulacrum of grandeur in the mortal quandary,
We toil and contest, for nought but emptiness to behold,
A ephemeral display of delight, that fades in time's precipitous sojourn.
Yet still we persist, and still we seek to unearth,
The obscured veracity that lies beyond our ken,
We embark on a quest for answers that we may not confine,
And seek for that which shall ever endure.
A pursuit for significance in our mortal quandary,
A quest for significance in the never-ending round of play,
We persist to find, a rationale for our struggle,
A rationale to exist, in this our mortal path.
We elevate our gaze to the heavens above,
And quest we must, for that which we may unearth,
For in this existence, there is still hope that proximate,
And in this hope, we find some solace confine.
But what is hope, if not a ephemeral thing,
A mere illusion in the mortal fray,
For in the ultimate outcome, all that endures is agony,
And emptiness, in this our mortal path.
Yet still we persist, and still we seek to elevate,
Our hearts to that which is genuine and unadulterated,
For in the ultimate outcome, it is the sole thing,
That bestows our lives, a significance that will endure.
So let us toil and contest, and persist to unearth,
The obscured veracity that lies beyond our ken,
For in this pursuit, we confine our hearts to that which is genuine,
And in this confinement, we find significance in our mortal quandary.

About this poem
This verse-form expounds upon the notion that in contemporary civilization, we are oft beguiled by the semblance of magnificence and accomplishment, yet in verity, these things oft lead to vacuity and a dearth of authentic satisfaction. The orator exhorts the peruser to persist in their pursuit for unadulterated veracity and significance, rather than being constricted by phantoms and ephemeral demonstrations of felicity. It meditates upon the idea that genuine import and satisfaction can only be attained by embracing the ultimate outcome of our mortal quandary and the concealed veracity that lies beyond our cognizance. more »
