Analysis of One Look
As I travel thru life
I look at people’s faces
And see they are already dead
No need to talk to them
It’s obvious
Without even being said
Unhappy, sad, and lost
Beyond hope
And not worth the cost
They run thru their days
Wondering why
Not a flicker of hope
And to tired to cry
They just exist
From day to day
Wondering how, why,
And what they missed
To smile briefly
Would be a lot
And mean so little
Because they forgot
What it is to be alive and free
Instead of wishing
To never be
Eric (and sometimes not)
