Analysis of Rescued From Challenges

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Awaiting to be rescued,
From a premeditated plan.
Handed down,
From one generation to the next.
As if being honored to receive,
A family crest embedded...
Honoring another failed attempt,
To make and effort to endeavor...
An achievement to make happen,
Was short lived successfully.

Children encourage and allowed,
To display an ungrateful disrespect.
And showing themselves to have,
An absence of appreciation.
Are taught this to believe,
Easy is a life to live it fictioned.
Dreaming themselves to be owed,
For aspirations to mention them.
While excuses to make,
Heard to hear everyday...
Finds them knowing empathy given,
Soon comes from the ones...
Who describe what they did to also be,
Picked upon by a challenge...
Unsuspecting to be prepared for it!

'You know...
The same thing has happened to us all.'

'So...
What did you do to stop it?'

'Attended more family reunions!'

'Huh?
You did what?'

'Sat around and complained.
Such a wonderful time we all had too!
Well...
Not everyone.
There were a few who talked about,
How long it took them to accomplish stuff.
Boring!
Thinking themselves better than the rest of us,
Finding it better to just give up!'
