Analysis of America, America
America, America
What happen to the,
I left this land,
To touch down,
Upon foreign sands.
Becoming a man,
Through the trials of combat.
Willing to give my life,
For the revenge of a nation,
And to stand,
In front of the innocent,
Lost in the suffering,
By demonic hands.
The country I left,
Held so much promise,
To be the beacon of hope,
Through long dark nights.
Our people,
Once held together,
With love for each other,
Pride of one people,
And compassion for strangers,
Now,
Tear at the seams,
Of our flag,
That stands above Nations.
People full of ignorance,
Walk blindly through cities,
Unable to see,
Unable to comprehend,
How fortunate we are,
To be born of this land.
Our integrity crushed,
Honor disassembled,
We're just another,
Slow dying empire,
On the face of time.
Lines of division overdrawn,
Freedoms are foregone.
A shattered imaged,
On display for the world,
Just broken glass,
To be swept in the trash.

About this poem
What is felt by many vets who spent years in selfless sacrifice for strangers only to come home and see, the demise of our own country. I fought in Baghdad, watched it given back by Obama. Spent many years in Afghan, to see it given back by Biden. Those people screwed over once again and countless blood lines the sand.
