Analysis of Isaiah Sixtieth
Wayne Blair 1951 (London)
“Arise. Shine.
For thy Light is come.”
You see it in
The settled Home.
The youngsters come.
The oldster’s poem.
In Dad’s briefcase.
A cozy table vase.
With lilies.
And God had promised
As Isaiah related.
A City of Victors.
Needing more and more space.
Thy feeders shall be kings and queens.
Oppression erased.
And thievery too.
And sneers of godless snakes.
All gone for Family’s sake.
All lost the final chance
To share the Big Romance.
The last Word is the Lord.
Engaged, rejoicing, adored.
“Thy gates shall be open continually.
They shall not be shut day nor night…
The Glory of the Lord
Is risen upon thee…
Inheriting the land forever.”
