Analysis of Unfaithfulness to God
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
But His works they soon forget,
Waiting not for His guidance;
Not fearing nor do they fret,
No concern of repentance.
They lusted in the desert,
Tempted the Lord with a test;
As they sensually flirt,
That was involving incest.
He gave them for what they asked,
But sent a wasting disease;
Could not do what they were tasked,
Since the Lord, they could not please.
They were filled with jealousy,
Moses as the holy one;
And being filled with envy,
As to what Aaron has done.
The earth opened to swallow,
Dathan and covering Abiram;
The Lord they do not follow,
Honored not the great I AM.
God also started a fire,
That had burned up the wicked;
For their evil desire,
They have become afflicted.
