Analysis of SCARS

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

I have scars that  I refuse to allow your world to see they are etched deep within my soul only I am allowed to see the burnt pages of this book for it is my story to tell how I walked through hellfire and the flames know me by my first name yet insist calling me Sir.

I had to be cut open once again these God damn parasites insist on calling me home because everyone knows the scars I bear are my only friend.

These scars do not know that the hunter becomes the hunted if they do not stick to the master's plan. do they not know I will soon hold the keys to all their kingdoms inside my well-worked hands?

Call me crazy, call me a fool for choosing my destiny for I am the one who wears the scars that they chose for me to wear but they are a reminder that I am my own medicine my band-aid, and like everything else the scars might not fully heal but slightly fade
