Analysis of A Forgiving God
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
Bless for His Holy Name;
Letting Him take control,
As I go and proclaim.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
Think to His benefit;
To solace and console,
Become spiritually fit.
He forgives trespasses,
And heals your diseases;
Purifies crevasses;
Where Satan harasses.
He saves you from the pit,
Giving you steadfast love;
Comforting as you sit,
Blessed by grace from above.
He fulfills you with good,
Renewed like the eagle;
By doing as you should,
Biblically legal.
