Analysis of Teacher Objectives
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
The preacher must be wise to teach,
The people of proverbs with care;
Weighing and studying to reach,
About what the Scripture will share.
To find the words the preacher sought,
Uprightly and delight of truth;
Acceptable words that have brought,
Written for those still in their youth.
The words of the wise are like goads,
They are given by one Shepherd;
Inspiring sheep on the right roads,
For guiding them in being heard.
Watch for anything beyond these,
For many books, there is no end;
For anyone that disagrees,
They scoff at for it does offend.
The end of this all has been heard,
For this is the duty of man;
Fear God and adhere to His Word,
For with your life, He has a plan.
Into judgment, He brings each deed,
All things whether good or evil;
Each and every that you decreed,
Are holy or of the devil.
