Analysis of SITTING WITH MYSELF
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
I am taking steps on my own, no longer afraid to walk alone, looking in the mirror, and at last, no longer looking at the images of my past. I am sitting with myself getting to know this new version that has me like a snake shedding my skin.
So many times, I bled while walking that thin white line that was my tight rope having me like a circus animal and feeling like a freak doing its tricks until I looked deep within to find a light of hope.
The reasons that I had been searching for are no more because I do not need any to breathe or to believe, so here I am under the sun sitting with myself, feeling like no one else because now I am free
