Analysis of A night before exams

The night before, I toss and turn,
My stomach chums, my nerves all bum.
I try to study, try to prepare,
But my mind's too foggy, too full of scare.

I dread the thought of that exam room,
Whiteboards, pens, and impending doom.
My palms are sweaty, my heart's racing,
I fear that all my hard work wasted.

What if I forget all I've learned,
If I freeze, my anxiety spurned.
The thought of failure makes me shake,
I worry that I won't stay awake.

The hours pass, the paper pile,
I try to concentrate, but it's all a trial. But then I take a deep breath in,
I know that this is not the end.

I've studied hard, put in my time,
I'm not alone, my fears aren't crime. I remind myself of all I've achieved,
Of all the knowledge I've received.

I face the exam with strength and grace,
Ready to conquer, ready to ace.
So, bring on the questions, bring in the test,
I know I can handle the rest.
