Analysis of Not Good Enough

She ain't good enough to be 'All That'.
And he ain't close enough to pretend it.
Neither are they. them or the others.
Standing with their arms folded.
Across their chests.
As if wanting to be noticed.
For doing what?
Imitating trees or statues?
This town has nothing but petty people in it!
Doing all they can to be 'Down' together.

'And...uh...
You are,
Who?'

Well...
It can not be said I am a judgement passer.
No.
I only know what I hear...
From gossip told by those who backstab,
Tell lies done to deceive.
Especially to do it to people,
No one knows or has yet to meet.
This I would accept to believe,
If they were doing this to a family member.
Close friend or a distant relative.
But no.
With a doing not to express one regret, either.

And...
Between you and me?
I'm not that kind of person.
To talk about something,
I know nothing about!
I will say this though,
When it comes to soliciting my opinion?
My mouth is closed to stay shut.
Like a locked door with ten locks on it.
You can bet on that too.
I keep my business to myself.
And not to be spread all over the streets.
You can believe that or not, I could care less.
That is what's wrong with the World today.
And not so much the World but the people!
People talking about stuff,
They have not a hint, clue or sniff...
Of what it is told to folks they don't know.
I gotta go.
This nonsense ain't worth the time,
I wasted giving it.
And stay away from asking anyone,
About anything around here.
They will only tell you,
What it is they want you to believe, that's it!
As if Old Maids.
Getting their info peeking out from windows.
I kid you not.
I gotta go.
Before you think I am one who gossips.
With nothing else to do but spread rumors.
Especially the rumors not good enough to tell.
I gotta go.
But before I do.
I wouldn't be asking anybody around here,
Who they are or what they know.
These folks do nothing but exaggerate.
And if I were you,
I wouldn't waste a second of my time...
Finding that out.
I gotta go.
Oh...
And one more thing.
Nevermind.
You know what they say about the early bird?

A bird leaving those worms left alone,
Too early to catch them.
Will never be caught,
Suffering from a stomach virus.

I'm just saying.
Too much attempting to digest at once?
Is not good for the mind teased to try it.
And thank you for the conversation.
I gotta go.

'But...
You did all the talking.'

Isn't that something.
I had not noticed.
Maybe that's why I enjoyed it so much.
I gotta go.
