Analysis of The Last Time
That was it…
That Tuesday with the torrential rains
Was the last day he was inside me.
Funny how one seldom knows
That they are making love for the last time.
The final fight attacks like a tsunami….
Or the taxicab runs a red light.
Even when it creeps up slow like a suffocating syrup
The end is always sudden…
Be it dead or just gone, gone, gone…
And you’ll be left to recoup your losses,
Maybe with a love bite on your neck
Or red scratches down your back.
Months later,
When your grief has thawed.
Your loins will quicken once more,
And your brain will remember.
That the last time you were more than one person
Was then…
That Tuesday with the torrential rains.
