Analysis of The Young. Dumbed Down And Restless
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
How can it be possible these days to teach,
The young.
Dumb down and restless.
The importance to value patience.
When day and night,
They have been drugged and addicted...
To sit and observe,
A wide screen TV.
Promoting everything from A to Z.
As a need to have.
Instantly to feed their wants,
Quicker than immediately.
And if not,
They begin to threaten...
Everyone in an entire neighborhood.
Because their parents were not able,
To meet their demands.
As they were told they should.
How is it these days,
To teach anyone...
How to value tolerance.
When so many have none.
Especially those,
Who have deliberately with consciousness...
Spoiled their own children.
Doing all they can,
To prevent listening to their children...
Throwing tantrum after tantrum.
Done to believe,
Administering punishment severely received.
Means to threaten their children.
By demanding they go to their own rooms.
Sit and be alone.
When those children have wide screen TVs.
Computers with the ability to download,
Text and fax email messages.
Then use free given to them cellphones,
To take 'selfies' to send to friends.
Displaying their sad faces to use,
As evidence to prove...
How they have been mistreated,
By mean misunderstanding parents!
Parents.
Hiding somewhere in the same home,
Trying to convince a doctor...
On 'their' cellphones.
A much needed stronger medication.
That will help numb their minds.
Without the affect,
Or claim to have intentionally...
Overdosed to temporarily get away,
From children, now grown adults...
Who refuse to obey when told,
To leave them alone.
And go to their own rooms.
'How old are your grown children?
'What difference does that make?
My spouse and I still remain their parents.
And that vow we made many years ago,
Promising to stay together.
Through sickness and in health.
Until death do us part?
Did not include,
Children.
Doing the best they can to drive us crazy!'
'Okay. Okay.
Calm down.
How fast are you in need to be medicated?'
'As fast as possible.
My spouse rushed out of the house.
To buy more liquor.
But that was hours ago.
And I suspect that is gone already!'
'What about your...
Children?'
'Well...
Two of them invited friends over,
To have 'FUN'.'
'I thought you said,
They were under punishment.'
'They are.
But...
Have you tried to discipline grown adults?'
'No!
Have you tried counseling?'
'No.
I couldn't or wouldn't recommend that.
I divorced years ago.
Two weeks after I married.
When my spouse demanded,
It was time for us...
To have a huge family to call our own.
I knew right then,
I had made the right decision!'
