Analysis of I Am Not Enough

I'm not enough; it's much too rough
For me to deal with strife,
If selfish pride becomes my guide
In dealing with my life.

The devil wants and often haunts
My thoughts to tempt and harm
My Christian ways throughout the days
With stealthily, clever charm.

I'm not enough; don't have the stuff
That Christian soldiers need
To fight the foe because I know,
Alone I can't succeed.

I must have God to teach and prod
This ordinary man.
God's Bible sword can't be ignored
To live within His plan!
