Analysis of Seleted People
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
You are holy to the Lord,
Being a holy people;
For He is loved and adored,
To praise Him in His temple.
The people that the Lord chose,
For His treasured possession;
The face of the earth He knows,
Sets His love in succession.
Not because as there were more,
The Lord chose and set His love;
Many others did ignore,
The commandments from above.
The Lord loves and kept His oath,
To their fathers that He swore;
Giving them spiritual growth,
Like an eagle as to soar.
The Lord used His mighty hand,
Redeemed no longer a slave;
To abide by His command,
Rescuing them from the grave.
Know that the Lord is your God,
Who has kept His covenant;
And give Him honor and laud,
His Law be obedient.
Payback those who do hate Him,
Destroying them to their face;
Making them in feeling grim,
And that they are a disgrace.
In the end, God has His say,
By setting judgment on them;
Because they did disobey,
For sure that He will condemn.
Be sure to follow His Law,
Rules and statutes He commands;
Defiance causes a flaw,
Any ruling by God stands.
