Analysis of The sun and the moon
Vicki Kriel 2002 (Cape Town)
The sun and the moon,
different but the same, two sides of a frame.
The sun and the moon,
me and you, nearly too good to be true.
The sun - your source of light,
the moon - my natural satellite.
The sun - who brightens up your days,
the moon - who saves me from my haze.
Your sun, who makes your flowers bloom,
and disposes of your impending doom.
My moon, who makes my stars collide,
and all my problems subside.
The sun and the moon,
hopefully we meet sometime soon,
but the time for us to orbit around each other, is in the hands of the universe, our mother.
