Analysis of Deceptive Truth
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
I rejoice that you walk in truth,
As commanded by the Father;
You have been walking since your youth,
Walking in love with your brother.
Not that I write a new command,
But one we have had since the start;
As to love others as we stand,
Nestled deeply within the heart.
Because this is love that we walk,
According to His commandments;
And that it is love as we talk,
As we confess for atonements.
For many deceivers have gone,
Confessing not in Jesus Christ;
They are out until morning dawn,
Convince others to be enticed.
The antichrist and deceiver,
Attempts you to lose your reward
No longer be a believer.
Of Jesus Christ being your Lord.
Everyone who goes on ahead,
Abides not by what they were taught;
For the darkness that they are fed,
With the wickedness, they have sought.
Whoever abides in the light,
Have both the Father and the Son;
And will be doing what is right,
Given blessings what has been done.
If anyone coming to preach,
That would be trying to deceive;
Without Holy doctrine to teach,
Do not accept what they believe.
Neither should you bid them Godspeed,
Whoever greets are in the dark;
They take part in an evil deed,
Avoids the light where they embark.
