Analysis of The Stormy Night

Our ship was travelling through the sea
While it remained quite tame,
But we could not keep up the speed
When it began to rain.

The waves built up real strong and then
Threw us from left to right.
In order to return home safe,
We'd have to make a fight.

The clouds moved fast above our heads
As lightning filled the sky.
We never stopped to ask our God
Are we about to die?

We knew inside our hearts that He
Was with us either way
And that this was a test of faith.
God's love was there to stay!
