Analysis of Praise God
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
May God be gracious and bless,
Making His face shine on you;
Repenting as you confess,
In His presence, to be true.
That His way be known on earth,
Saving power amongst all;
Let people know of His worth,
Able to answer your call.
Let the people give Him praise,
And all the nations be glad;
Sing for joy as voices raise,
Need no longer to be sad.
He judges you righteously,
Governs to guide the nations;
With compassion graciously,
Without wrath or vexations.
No need for you to feel grim,
Offering worship and praise;
Let all the people praise Him,
Be thankful that one conveys.
For the earth yields its increase,
As the Lord shall surely bless;
And will be bringing us peace,
When we revere and profess.
