Analysis of What if Jesus

Was the spirit in every heart?

Awakened to a need
to give a love supreme

That joy
beyond our comprehension

Finding the reality
of inner peace

more than just some fantasy
but in fact, a living dream

We've carried in our being,
a gift since our creation

But as the winds and time unfurled
We lost sight of our goals

Instead sought comfort and control

Did foul things …
some unspeakably evil.

There came a time
for a reminder to those

Who'd kept the vigil
not ever to lose hope

A living sacrifice of use
a reference point,

Despite our many
minor differences

It was in the heart of the spirit of Jesus

To save every solitary soul
who'd seek deliverance

From the oppression,
d’jour (of the day)

And those who'd swore allegiance,
Were entrusted with the spirit

In the spirit, might continue
to aid those

More in need
to strive to find compassion

In preparation
to receive the gift of love

To contribute their best efforts to add impetus
To each one within their span of control.

Neither to badger nor coerce,
but to caress

With an example
a sense of peace they'd pass on,

In any way
they'd managed
to grasp hold of

To pass a spark of life …we all need to grow
(Like the parable of the mustard seed)

And the miracle of …
a happiness

Which transcends
physical boundaries

Or pass things we imagine
We most miss …of a powerful gift

Hidden in our human frailties

To spread the word
Of love …of life
