Analysis of Great Success
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
It was the will of the Lord,
To crush you because of grief;
Since it could not be ignored,
For the guilt of misbelief.
You are seeing your offspring,
While you prolong your days;
A prospering hand will bring,
In delighting God always.
Out of torment of your soul,
You shall then be satisfied;
Knowledge of God will extol,
That the Lord be glorified.
You shall bear iniquities,
Forgiven to be righteous;
Confessing impurities,
For compassionate justice.
You shall divide the spoil,
A portion with the others;
As the Lord sees you toil,
And sharing with your brothers.
You pour out your soul till death,
Numbered with the transgressors;
Bearing the sin with each breath,
Sharing with the confessors.
