Analysis of Soul-less
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Don't cry or try a tear to drip.
From a dry and empty entity.
Long vacant of feeling empathy.
This performance given,
May be a sold-out best seller.
Yet nothing shown done,
To achieve accepted perfection.
Has come close to impress being,
An angel sent from Heaven.
Spewing evil and venom.
With a doing to declare,
Peace is your message.
While inflicting death,
Upon those innocent of doing a thing to you!
'Hey! Hey, hey HEY!
I am here sent to deliver.
Not to be abused by being called 'soul-less'.
You don't know me.
All I was told is to deliver messages,
To those who prayed...
For what they wished to see and get.
Don't accuse me.
Whoever you prayed to will not confuse,
The job I have been told I do...
Is even beyond their expectations.'
'Oh yeah?
And who might that be?
GOD?'
'Hold on.
Let me check my list.
Hmmm. No.
No.
There is no GOD here!
Are your sure you were not,
Praying to something else.
In the hope that would happen?
Because I am not known to disappoint,
Anyone wishing to have...
What comes to them to get!
And,
Can you tell me this...
Where can I locate this GOD of yours?'
'OH! YES...
I have heard about it.
Now...
Where is exactly is Heaven?
You are the first one I have heard,
To mention and admit this place exists!'
'So you can do what?
Find a better job?'
'Why not.
Of course.
I tell you what.
Show me where this place is.
And I promise you will receive all the credit.'
'Impossible?
Why is that impossible?'
'Only God knows when I am ready to arrive!'
'Yes.
And I started praying,
For a more convenient schedule.
And I guess I was not the only one,
Demanding this request for quicker service!'
'And...
You had the nerve to call me,
Soul-less and evil.
You don't sound to me to be that faithful!
You're one of those,
Who go through the motion folks.
Giving me a bad name for ruining to claim,
What you got to get had not been meant!
You bore me with your hypocrisy.
I gotta go.'
'Oh.
So...
You're not religious at all, are you?'
'I'm more spiritual.'
