Analysis of The Deepest Cut
Charles Edward York 1966 (Saigon, Vietnam)
The Deepest Cut
The deepest cut comes by the one you love
Betrayal by the false soul
Stabs repeatedly
Killing all hope of trust
Destroying everything good
Once held precious
Every dream and wish is
Disintegrated into oblivion
Deception and malice
Breeds death to forgiveness.
I loved you with all my heart and gratitude
And for my trouble you hit me
Pummeling my open heart
With repeated fury
And without mercy
My weakness is
Your window for hate
Striking your blow
Ending my happiness
With wicked waste.
Your absence of remorse is an empty grave
Where my faith falls dead
There is no redemption
For your kind of corruption
Only threefold payback
You cash in ego and pride
To wear the name victim
Of your own demise
Your fate is sealed
A thousand times forever.
