Analysis of Insignificant Obstacles

Steve Cochrane 1955 (Cape)

If you should find a pebble on
A lonely, sandy beach,
And even during dusk or dawn
With friends beyond your reach,

It will not bother you to walk
Past it with no concern,
Because you know it cannot talk
Or offer things to learn.

If you should see a boulder on
That beach in front of you,
Regardless if it's dusk or dawn
Or where you're going to,

Just change your mind of where to step
And go around until
You pass by it with all your pep
And smile as if a thrill.
