Analysis of When I close my eyes I am not here
When I close my eyes I am not here
But do not ask me where I go to my dear
For the place would likely bring your eyes to tears
It's lights warmth might melt the skin off your prescious life
Its time claims whole beings for it's wife
Yet I go there beyond the sweet lullabies
I am not here but for my sleepy disguise
And the people dash about before my eyes
So perfect and beautiful they cannot tell me lies
For they hear the soul and listen deeply to her cries
She complains too much only to herself
Their love far too strong for her to keep
on life's shelf
When I close my eyes I am not here
But do not ask me where I go to my dear
