Analysis of The Lord Is My Shepherd

Robert Catron 1963 (Kansas)

The Lord is my Shepherd in Him I believe,
Just ask for His strength and you will receive.
The Lord will watch over you and protect you from harm,
He will lead you thru life's challenges holding on to your arm.
In times of trouble you may think that He's not there,
For if you read "Footprints In The Sand" you'll know He does care.
Jesus leaves it up to you - the choice is yours to make,
Your future is in your hands - which road will you take?
For time is running out and the end is drawing near,
It's time to make up your mind - the choice should be clear!
The Lord doesn't lie or make promises He can't keep,
He's there to comfort you when you're troubled heart will weep.
So if you're tired of the path your life's currently in,
You need to reach for the Lord - For death is the penalty for sin!
Just ask the Lord for forgiveness - ask Him into your heart,
Lift all of your troubles to the Lord - That's where you need to start!
For My time with you is now done - my message should be clear,
Reach out to the Lord - He will never let you down - For He will always be near.
