Analysis of Love Me Anyway

Grief & Hope 1988 (Spencerport)

I am me,
But I am not the same me
that I was before
At least I am here
Doesn't that count for something?
I am still here.
Although I may forget things
I remember us

I cannot remember everything you tell me
As I have become quite forgetful

Sometimes you get sad,
But you love me anyway

I cannot remember everything you tell me
As I have become quite forgetful

Sometimes you get mad,
But you love me anyway

This hasn't been easy on me, nor you,
But love will see us through
Please give me grace & patience
As my goal isn't to ignore or upset you,
I simply forget,
but you love me anyway
And I love you back
