Analysis of Release Therapy

By Robert T. Davenport

In the depths of my mind, where emotions reside,

I find solace in poetry, my healing guide.

With each verse I write, I release the pain,

Transforming darkness into words that sustain.

In the darkness of despair, I find my light,

Through the power of words, I take my flight.

With ink as my weapon, I conquer my fears,

Crafting verses that dry my sorrowful tears.

In this poetic realm, I find strength anew,

A sanctuary for my soul, where dreams come true.

With every line I weave, I build resilience,

Empowering myself with poetic brilliance.

Words become my armor, protecting my mind,

Shielding me from the battles that I find.

Through metaphors and similes, I find peace,

As my heart finds solace, my worries decrease.

This therapy of poetry, a gift to my soul,

Allows me to mend and regain control.

In the rhythm and rhyme, I find my release,

A refuge for my thoughts, a sense of inner peace.

So, I embrace the power of poetry's embrace,

A mental sanctuary, a sacred space.

With each verse I write, I heal and grow,

Becoming mentally strong, a poem's echo.
