Analysis of The silky lips of a rose.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

You're silky lips of a rose.

As I lay my head on the silky pillow by your side, I can see your eyes fluttering under your eyelids; they hide. Then I think, Are you dreaming of me or a stranger I can't see? I can smell your sweet perfume of apple blossoms in the air, and I wonder if you still care. It's dark and silent, but the nightlight glows bright It's a beautiful summer's night. Then you awake, and I give you a kiss on your smooth, sweet lips that feel like a smooth, silky rose. Now I know you love me, and it shows.
