Analysis of Stasis

Kelley Davies 1983 (Dallas)

Stagnant, the suffering sits heavy

Weighs my heart down like stone

Fire can't burn it away

Water can't wash it away

Seething tongues heavy speak into my ear

Of my worthlessness

The misery ensues, no end in sight

The weight of living can't be lifted anymore
