Analysis of Change
Moving on is part of life
I had to say goodbye-
to everything that held me back
I had to grow and strive,
To be the man I have become
my surroundings had to change,
This life I have is different now
Thinking for myself is strange,
Being responsible for my actions
Is part of who I am,
Standing on my own two feet
is what defines a man,
The person that I was before
Is all but dead and gone,
I think and live a different way
My future's bright and strong,
Times of doubt, they are no more
I know what is to be,
So moving on is part of life-
because that change took place in me.

About this poem
It was hard at first to change my life but what I learned was the hardest part is being ok with letting go of the past.
