Analysis of Contrivance
Robert loughran 1962 (Ireland)
Perhaps apart from physical need,
all else is contrivance,
invented by hungry thought,
seeking just its own permanence.
That every actor needs a stage,
his special part to play,
attention from his audience,
every dog must have its day..
All life seeks to flower
,rose and weed alike,
claiming space around it,
to replicate its type.
Perhaps all thought is fabrication
fantasy aligned
to fit the shape available
its kingdom to find
