Analysis of All is lost when the dagger twists

A dagger flashes from out of nowhere
Listening to problems of one another
Letting them vent just to hear the words flow

In a discussion with friends your safe
So when you oppose one another why give up on them

Like all of those years never mattered
Only to have it happen again because of one word
Some times I just don't want to get out of bed
Talking about your day and problems to your best friend

Where do you turn when they are the ones holding the knife
How often am I to endure loosing all I love
Every time I bring myself to trust someone and care
None of them are willing to put up with me for long

Too often I have opened up and people just leave
How is it that they are there for you and told you are safe
Even are asked to write their wedding ceremony

Drifting away because I am sick and speak out about it
A person who is sick would like support from friends
Going through a difficult time by yourself is near impossible
Granted I have had to raise myself and care for myself
Even my family turned their backs on me when I was young
Real friends are hard to come by and I thought they were

Time should have shown me that people come and go
When they leave because you are sick it kills me
I have lost people who I thought were there for me
So I was there for them but I'm a brief moment
Two became zero and I stand alone again
So how am I supposed to hold on with no hands to hold
