Analysis of God Sends His Rainbow

God Sends His Rainbow

God sends His rainbow in the sky above,
Full of hope, peace, joy and love,
Red, orange, yellow, green and blue,
Are just some of the colours that make up the hue.

God sent my Rainbow my beautiful cat,
And here she is sitting on the mat,
So gentle and sweet and full of love,
Just like the rainbow sent from above.

With her beautiful eyes and little mark on her face,
My little Rainbow is full of grace,
A shy wee cat who loved to hide,
But still she loved to be by my side.

Just like the rainbow up above,
My little Rainbow is full of love,
Now gone to Rainbow Bridge has she,
But forever in my heart she'll be.

About this poem

The poem is about my cat Rainbow, who died on 18th December 2023, age 14. She is sadly missed, but she had a good life. The poem is a tribute to her. It talks about a rainbow but also Rainbow, my cat. It is also about faith and God's creation. Kim Hamilton
