Analysis of Lead from within
Chantell Wild 1977 (East London)
I mourn the loss of day when each night it goes away
and yet the evening keeps me late in fear of tomorrow
Try as I might to cast my doubt into the darkened sky
The morning shows me once again the traces of my sorrow
Repeatedly you took my hand and lent to me your strength
but when you went I realized that I could only borrow
Moments pass as moments do wherein I find my spark
But come the night I find myself again just feeling hollow
Time will pass as time must do and still I search within
A leader lies inside of me and I will learn to follow
